“the learning that happens through interaction is always greater than the sum of its parts.”

Speaking and Consulting

Let me bring my practical approach to planning and implementation of LSL lessons to your program. I bring a big picture perspective: adding experience and context to your work at the therapy table or in a specialized classroom is a sure path toward excellent outcomes for children’s auditory language and literacy skills.

Working with groups is one of my passions; the learning that happens through interaction is always greater than the sum of its parts. I have facilitated small and large groups internationally, from consulting with school districts near my home in Ann Arbor to coaching professionals in Mongolia to providing a virtual training experience for a LSL practice in Saudi Arabia.  I pride myself on making learning both intentional and interactive regardless of the venue.

Topics include:

  • Empowering Parents through Coaching
  • Playing with Social Skills
  • Integrating Thinking and Listening
  • Effective Lesson Planning
  • The Language of Behavior
  • Theory of Mind Development

“Ashley is a master at what she does and I highly recommend her for others interested in improving their teaching skills. She is worth more than her weight in gold! “ – Mary Kay Kolber, Director, Grand Rapids Oral Deaf Program

“In my opinion, Ashley has all the qualities of a great speaker.  She has a way of letting you learn without making you feel lost or out of the loop.  I learned so much from this…I can’t wait to explore and share all that she has led me to!” – HOPE online participant
